TAS6424M-Q1: Absolute Maximum Rating of VDD of TAS6424M-Q1

Part Number: TAS6424M-Q1

Hi Team,

From the TAS6424M-Q1 datasheet, the absolute maximum rating of VDD is only 3.5V, is there any tolerance? In my point of view, if maximum recommended condition is 3.5V, the absolute maximum rating should be higher, right?

Because our front-end buck may generate 3.8V voltage spike on VOUT when voltage cranking, I am worried that the VDD of TAS6424M-Q1 may be damaged.

Could we guarantee the VDD can endure 3.8V spike in 50us?

Regards,

Roy

  • Roy,

Absolute maximum rating is the spec TI can guarantee. Any test condition out of this range will be not supported or guaranteed.  You can apply this voltage to some pcs of the device, while from mass production aspect, both you and your customer will not accept the risk of failure.
