TPA3156D2: Inductor noise heard on TPA3156 output filter

Hi Sir,

My customer said they hear inductor noise on their TPA3156's output filter. Would you please helping to check any error or provide suggestion for test/debug? Thanks for your kindly help.

Hi Gary,

This is a natural occurrence in inductors. How much the inductor ringing can be heard varies depending on the inductors residence. I recommend trying a few different inductors to see if the customer hears a difference.

Also if they are using a speaker instead of a resistive dummy load, the speaker should be much louder than the inductors.
