TAS5806MD: No Sound Issue with CFG Generated by TAS5806 PPC3 GUI

Have you tried to read back some register values, or the CRC checksum to verify the I2C writing is good?

Meanwhile, let me do some bench test to replicate the issue. Will get back to you soon.

Hello Sam,

There should be no I2C signal integration issue. We can bring up the TAS5806MD with the CFG generated by PPC3's I2C monitor. 



We got the same CRC and XOR checksum data by writing this CFG (5806_EQ_0505_2021_ppc3_tuning page.cfg) with PPC3 tuning page and DirectI2C pages.



However, we got identical checksums with CRC and XOR with CFG (5806_EQ_0505_2021_end_system_integration.cfg) generated by End-System Integration page, but encounter no sound issue.

Hi Wayne,

If you look at the "no sound".cfg file, the format looks not right with ">".

Secondly, if testing with EVM you will need to config the EVM audio input path, which is the writing operation to address 0x30. Or you can enter the audio process page and select the audio input source manually. Settings will be hold until the EVM is power down.
