PP-SALB-EVM: Hardware Checks Fail

I can't seem to get the hardware checks to pass.

Looking at other people that have the same problem, I appear to have everything set up ok.

Any ideas as to what I am doing wrong?

The problem is with a PP-SALB-EVM. I also have a PurePath Console Motherboard + TAS5766MRMTEVM which is working fine.

Since yesterday, I installed the software on another Win 10 machine and it works fine there with the PP-SALB-EVM so it isn't a hardware issue. Using both machines I'm basically up and running but it would be nice to sort the problem on my main machine so I can connect to both dev boards.

Hi Colin,

PP-SALB_EVM requires Line Properties - Advanced - Default format to 44100Hz, otherwise, PurePath Console Motherboard + TAS5766MRMTEVM needs set the value to 48000Hz.

So you need to manually change this property when switching different EVM board.

If you see the screen grab above it shows that the sample rate is already set to 44100Hz for the PP-SALB_EVM. This value changes automatically when I plug in either board and as far as I can make out, I can't change in manually anyway. If you look in the screen grab you will see that the sample frequency box is greyed out stopping manual changes.

After a complete software uninstall / reinstall I have tried the PP-SALB_EVM again on my main machine and it passes the Audio Record now. Unfortunately, the Audio Playback still doesn't work.

Any other ideas?
