LMK5C33216: LMK5C32216 EEPROM Programming

Part Number: LMK5C33216

I'm looking at the LMK5C33216 and using the EEPROM as a power on configuration.  I don't see anywhere in the datasheet that this would be a orderable part number or if there was a way to program the EEPROM?

    Hello Jon,

    It is not possible to order the LMK5C33216 with a custom programmed EEPROM.

    It is possible to program the EEPROM.  Using the TICS Pro software, you can configure the device in your desired mode, then goto the EEPROM page and press the "Register commit method" to generate a programming register sequence which will result in the device's EEPROM configured according to your programmed start-up clocks.

    It is important to note the EEPROM only covers the APLL and clock output settings.  DPLL configuration options cannot be performed this way.  However this allows you to configure the device to get the frequencies you would like at startup.  Then any further DPLL programming (if used/needed) can then be programmed.

    Hello Jon,

    The LMK5C33216 does have the ability to program the EEPROM. Attached is a presentation displaying the EEPROM programming sequence.

    You can also program the EEPROM using the EEPROM page on TICS Pro.
