LMX2820: LMX2820 4 single ended output configuration

Hi,

Can we use 2 differential outputs (RFOUTA/B_P/N) of LMX2820 as 4 single ended RF outputs? In the datasheet, single ended output power is 3 dBm at 22 GHz when terminating compelement side of outputs with 50 ohm. Instead of terminating with 50 ohm, I want to use all 4 output pins as different channels. Is it possible to obtain 4 channel 3-dBm 22 GHz RF output with LMX2820?

Hello Ali,

When looking at the functional block diagram on the data sheet, the outputs RFOUTA are differential and can be treated as for different outputs. So if you want to obtain 4 different outputs with one LMX2820, that should not be possible. Hope this helps.

Hello Andrea,

Is it true that maximum number single-ended channel output of LMX2820 is 2? RFOUTA_P drives and RFOUTA_N is terminated with 50 ohm. Also, RFOUTB_P drives and RFOUTB_N is terminated with 50 ohm.

Hi Ali,

Each differential driver can be treated as two single-ended output. So, there are four single-ended outputs in LMX2820.
