LMK62A2-156M: Query Regarding OE Pin Pull-up recommendation

Part Number: LMK62A2-156M

Hi,

We have used LMK62XX series (Part# LMK62A2-156M) High-Performance Low Jitter Oscillator on our boards.

As per PCN 20231206002.0 Dated Dec-7, 2023, The latest datasheet of LMK62XX shows there is recommended external pullup resistor value of 10K on OE Pin.

We have following queries on this so request you to check and revert.

  1. Why is this specific 10K pullup recommend on the OE pin ? Have you seen any failures or issues?
  2. Will a lower value pullup like 5.75K will work?
  • Hi Chetan,

We updated the datasheet to indicate that an external pullup resistor is required on the OE pin to enable the output since the device has an internal pulldown. Our old datasheet didn't make it clear that if the OE pin was left floating the output would be disabled. The 10k pullup value is just a general guideline, and a lower value like 5.75k will also work fine.

    Regards,

    Connor
