LMX2594: LMX2595

Tool/software:

Hi,

I have a broadband project between two LMX2594 or LMX2595 chips where I want to have deterministic phase across as much of the spectrum as possible from 10MHz to 15GHz.  Ive made the hardware already and have attempted to have a timing circuit on the reference and resync pin.  Ive seen the flow chart and probably spent a week or so on trying but couldnt really get it to work well.  If I knew anyone else had gotten it to work across well defined (easy to explain to customers) pieces of spectrum Id go ahead and spend the time getting it to work.  Does anyone know of this?
The last time I spent time on it was a couple of years ago, so maybe new documentation is out that helps?

Kind Regards,

David

  • Hi David,
There are three categories of Sync which are dependent on your configuration.

You need to sent a rising edge to the PSYNC pin for both devices to have phase sync the outputs.
Please note this pulse will be a time critical pulse if operating in CAT3 sync.

    Regards,

    Vicente
