Tool/software:
Hi team,
Could you let me know the maximum temperature allowed for LMK00338RTAT reel?
The baking condition looks like shown in Table 5 in snoa550h(003).
Typically, reel package cannot be heated in high temperature, so the baking temperature is within 40C-60C.
The datasheet describes that th storage temperature is 150C max.
If it exceeds the floor life and bake with reel, it would be 125C 4hours, 40C 4days(96h), 60C 48h.
Best regards,
Kazuki Itoh
Hello Itoh-san,
I have reached out to the product engineering team - I will update you once I hear back.
Best regards,
Vicente
Hi Itoh-san,
Sorry for the delay, the reels are baked at 50degC for 8 hours or if left outside for more than 7 days they're baked at 125degC for 8 hours.
Best regards,
Vicente
Hi Vincente-san,
My customer pointed out that 125degC exceeds the maximum temperature of typical reel/taping material.
Do you mean TI's reel/taping material has higher thermal endurance?
Best regards,
Kazuki Itoh
Hi Kazuki,
I reached out to the PE team.
The units are actually baked before tape and reel.
This is needed for MSL3 devices.
Best regards,
Vicente
Hi Vincente-san,
My customer would like to bake the tape and reel because some stock can be left under >30degC temporarily in the customer's warehouse if power outage happens. That's why my customer wants to make sure the appropriate baking temp.
Could you please answer my question?

Hi Itoh-san,
I'll follow up tomorrow - the PE who normally answers these questions is OoO.
