Tool/software:
Hi,
I downloaded the driver for this EVM board. However, when I try ton install it, I get an error:
Any idea how to resolve this? I am installing the driver on a Windows !! Enterprise OS.
Thanks,
Prasoon
Prasoon,
You are using the Clock Pro software found here, correct?
https://www.ti.com/tool/CLOCKPRO
This procedure worked for Windows 10, and may also work for Windows 11: https://e2e.ti.com/support/clock-timing-group/clock-and-timing/f/clock-timing-forum/733981/cdce913perf-evm-driver-for-windows10
Thanks,

Hi Kadeem,
I tried to force Windows to manually load the driver files from ClockPro.
However, it's not successful:
Thanks,
Prasoon,
With Clock Pro installed, is the software recognizing that a board is connected? Trying to install the driver from the .zip gives me a similar issue, but from the Clock Pro installation I can connect to an evaluation module with no issue.
Thanks,
Kadeem
Hi Kadeem,
No. The SW is not recognizing the board. I clicked on Find Boards multiple times.
Prasoon,
Please try using the older TI Pro Clock tool, and let us know if it has an issue with recognizing the device: https://www.ti.com/tool/download/SCAC073/01.00.00.0F
Thanks,
Kadeem
Hi Kadeem,
I tried this. However, I ran into a similar issue. The drivers could not be installed. And the S/W does not recognize the USB once it is connected. I think the main issue is the driver.

Prasoon,
Can you try the steps listed here: https://e2e.ti.com/support/clock-timing-group/clock-and-timing/f/clock-timing-forum/1169622/cdcel9xxprogevm-driver-installation-problem?tisearch=e2e-sitesearch&keymatch=cdcel9xxprogevm%252520driver ?
Thanks,
Kadeem
Hi Kadeem,
I tried method #1. I made more progress. Windows recognizes the driver and the LEDs don't shut off automatically. However, when clock Pro is launched it is erroring out while trying to read the register states:
Any ideas?
Thanks
Prasoon
Prasoon,
Are you able to write registers, only reading is an issue? My recommendation, if reading persists as an issue, is to create the configuration desired in the ClockPro wizard, and the write the settings to the device.
Thanks,
Kadeem
Hi Kadeem,
The screen shot shown above does not let me keep the Clock Pro SW alive.
After I click on "skip" from the Clock Pro Wizard (to load a preset) there are a couple of instances of an error. I click "ok" on all of them to get to the error screen I pasted above. As soon as I click ok on this, the Clock Pro software quits. So,I don't have an opportunity to write to the EVM.

Hi Kadeem,
I could get it to work. There is an issue with the start up screen. If I force the SW to use the "setup" button, then I can talk to the EVM module. I think we can call the issue resolved for now.
