Hi there,

I have a problem with manual ramping mode with LMX2595EVM.

Could you please help me with it?

LMX2595EVM has been set up as below

LMX2595EVM setting

Fosc: 125MHz, R: 5, FPD: 25, RFoutA: 14000MHz

Manaul Ramping Mode

RAMP0: 25MHz -> RAMP1: -25MHz -> Clicked 'Update Ramp GUI' -> checked 'RAMP_EN' -> clicked 'Clock Ramp'

or Update Ramp GUI-> Clock Ramp -> RAMP_EN

or Clock Ramp->Update Ramp GUI->RAMP_EN

or other orders

Tried several ways and times to do ramping; however, manual ramping is not working at all...

Back to PPL to check Fractional denominator is 4294967295

When I check RAMPDIR and RAMPCLK TPs with ocillator, there are no signals...

I checked that the harware has RampClk and RampDir connected to the device.

As you know that sv601349 has been used to control the PLL.

U2A_GPIO7 -> RampDIR & U2A_GPIO3 -> RampClk_TP

When I click the 'Clock Ramp', there are no signals from RampDIR/RampClk

Could you please give me an explaination why it doesn't work?

Hi There,

Can you verify if there is no RampClk and RampDir signal from the Reference Pro? Probe the signal on the Reference Pro board without connecting it to the LMX device EVM.

Hello Noel Fung,

Ther is no RampClk and RampDir signal from the Refernce Pro.

I have 4 SV601349(Reference Pro board). None of them are not working..

Hi There,

This does not seem reasonable, which version of TICS Pro are you using? Can you try with the latest one in ti.com?

Hello there,

My version is 1.7.7.6 build date:29-Oct-24

After disconnect RAMPClk and RAmpDir pins from the Refernce Pro, I give RampClk signal from my own EV then it works well.

I'm not sure what's wrong with all of my Refernce Pro broads...

Yes, I do. Everything worked but not the RAMPClk and RAMPDir from the Reference Pro.
