Hi,

I would like to inquire whether it is possible to program the USB-to-Any interface using a custom Python-based GUI to transfer 24-bit data across approximately 122 registers (corresponding to a specific frequency) via the USB connection. This setup would involve connecting a 10-pin ribbon cable between the USB-to-Any interface and the LMX2820EVM board.

Additionally, would it be possible to obtain access to the USB-to-Any SDK?

Hi Noel,

Apologies for the inconvenience.

I’ve developed the GUI based on the provided reference, and it works well for one specific frequency. However, when I attempt to update or import a HEX file for a different frequency, the output does not change as expected.

I would appreciate your guidance on the following points:

Is there any specific step I might be missing when switching frequencies?
Do I need to rewrite Register R0 to trigger VCO calibration?
Even after rewriting Register R0, the frequency doesn't seem to update, Could there be a required delay between register writes (spectific to R0)?
Should Register R0 be written outside the main loop, or does it need to be handled differently during dynamic updates?

Your input would be very helpful in resolving this issue.

Hi Vamshi,

After it is locked, to change the frequency requires programming to the related frequency registers such as PLL_N, PLL_NUM, etc, and then program R0 with FCAL_EN = 1 to initiate a VCO calibration,.
