After reading the related post I am interested to know the correct physical interface between the LMK1C1104 and the OSCIN of the LMX2571. Right now I only have a 50ohm trace between the LMK and the LMX2571. The LMK is operating at 1.8V and the datasheet indicates that it has a 60 ohm source impedance. Should I have some kind of series or shunt termination?
This configuration has been working until recently, when the external VCO has stopped locking on numerous boards. The RFin from the VCO is the same amplitude on locking and non-locking boards.
