Hi team,

By setting TCFE=1 for increased charge voltage. Follow all charging guidelines specific to the rechargeable battery or super capacitor when enabling trickle charge.

Not very understand for above description.

The battery is 3V Li-on battery but VCC is 3.3V.

So TCFE=1 will charge the battery up to VCC voltage, right?

That means need to external sense battery voltage when at 3V and then set TCFE=0?

Or trickle charger function is not suitable for 3V battery?

    Hi Zoe,

    Consider that TCFE = 0 as a standard charge, and TCFE = 1 is a rapid charge. See datasheet figure 6.

    The trickle charger is suitable for a 3V battery given you do not violate the specifications in the battery datasheet. If you are concerned that you may damage the battery, measure the battery voltage and current and confirm that it does not exceed the maximum charge voltage or charge current specified by the battery datasheet.
