BQ32000: BQ32000 oscillator drifting, speeding up or slowing down

Part Number: BQ32000

I have the BQ32000DR connected to the oscillator ABS25-32.768KHZ-T. (32.768Khz, 12.5pf). I have several identical units sitting on the desk and I noticed that their clocks were not staying synchronized and the difference grew over a relatively short time.

As I mentioned, I am seeing major time drift across my devices. If I have 2 boards side by side I can see one going noticeably faster by just watching the seconds tick by. Over the course of a handful of seconds I can see the difference. My firmware reads the RTC every second and displays the time on the on board LCD.  Throughout the day the offset can grown into 8 hours or more. I expected these units to be within a second of each over the course of 24 hours.

Can you help me to understand what might cause this difference in clock speed across my boards? Also, how do I resolve this?

Thanks,

Dave
