  • Question 1:

    If OSCin phase noise is disabled, the assumption is that the OSCin source is noiseless.  If you want to model noise, you need to load in phase noise profile.

    Question 2:

    For some devices, VCO noise metrics are enabled, for other not.  The LMK05318 in PLLatinum Sim does not support VCO noise metrics, but you can load in the phase noise.  This was a marketing decision made a long time ago, although I do not completely agree with it.  If you want to use 3 data points, you can also just load 3 data points instead of trying to use the metrics.

    Question 3:

    Same response as question 2.
