Hi Team,

I want to calculate jitter through LMK04828(LMK04828BISQ/NOPB) from input to PLL1 to output of LMK.

Is there any way or tool for this?

I am this for data clock & sys ref clock generation for ADS54J66.

How much jitter ADS54J66 can tolerate for better performance?

Hello Shivakant,

PLLatinum Sim is the tool we typically use to simulate jitter performance through LMK04828 and other TI PLLs.

I'll refer you to the ADC team for information about their jitter tolerance.

Please see the attached document regarding your jitter question. Basically, the less jitter, the better the performance. This document will show you how to calculate the ADC performance based on the jitter of the clock.

Is there any tool/calculator also , through which we can calculate ADCs SNR & noise /Jitter based on the input signal noise/SNR & input ref noise?

Shivakant,

Slide 15 of Jim's presentation includes a jitter calculator worksheet tool, which can calculate SNR given input frequendy, aperture jitter, and external clock jitter. It can also work backward using input frequency, aperture jitter, and SNR to calculate the required external clock jitter.
