ADS7952-Q1: The front-end RC recommend for the ADC filter

Part Number: ADS7952-Q1

HI team,

My customer is considering the front-end RC filter 47kohm & 1uF at the input pin, to have a very low cutoff frequency, any potential risk? Like lower settling time, or will it affect the measurement accuracy heavily?

Normally how we recommend customer to add the front-end filter component values?

Thanks.

  • Hi Ted,

Do you know if the customer is using a buffered or unbuffered MXO? I would recommend following the typical application suggestions starting in page 40 of the data sheet. There are some plots showing the minimum throughput achieved based on Rsource and max throughput as well as some recommended capacitor values.

If the recommendations in the data sheet are not followed, there is a possibility of settling errors as well as an increase in THD.

    Regards,

    Aaron Estrada
