ADS1298ECGFE-PDK: Differential Pair

Part Number: ADS1298ECGFE-PDK

Hi,

Good Day.

It is possible to use this ECG registering device to register a differential pair of leads with the RLD being only affected by those two?

I basically want to know if it is possible to use this device to act as a differential pair with the right leg drive (common ground) associated only to those pair.

Please advise. Thank you very much.

Best Regards,

Ray Vincent

  • Hi Vincent,

Would you please clarify or elaborate more about the statement "register a differential pair of leads with the RLD being only affected by those two?"

For ECG 3 primary leads, e.g. RA-LA, RA-LL and LA-LL, each of them is formed by two electrodes and each ECG signal is taken/acquired differentially, i.e. the voltage difference between the two electrodes.

RLD is a 4th electrode that is recommended to attach to human body to bias the body to a known voltage(so that the body/ECG signal is not floating outside the measurable voltage range) and suppress the common mode noises.

    Thanks

  • Hi,
Since I did not hear back from you, I believe my suggestions answered your questions.
