the portion of the hardware connections in the picture looks correct. Share your GUI register settings. Also if you are switching to other resistors using the switches, do you notice the ADC output codes change?

I rebuild original AFE4300EVM-PDK_FW_SRC_Release FW source and write to EVM.

I just configured as user guide follow GUI picture.

1. start GUI application.

2. Select BCM Tab Controls.

3. VSENSE1 to (+ dial), VSENS0 to (- dial) select.

4. IOUT0 to FB0, IOUT1 to FB1

5. BCM ON Click

6. Select ADC Capture & Analysis Tab.

this time plot is differ from before.

Also if you are switching to other resistors using the switches, do you notice the ADC output codes change?

==> "switching to other registors" is what? maybe SW3?

Anyway, i switching sw3 all position is on.

vols value is changed.

Whenever sw3 position on/off, volts value is changed.

I don't know that sometimes hign or low volts value is correct or not.

The volt value you are getting seems valid.

As you can refer from the datasheet spec. the gain of the demodulator chain is typ. 0.72 V/kohm.

With 1kohm (SW3-3 in ON position), you are getting ~700mV and with ~215 ohms (all 4 switches of SW3 in ON position), you are getting ~158mV.

But those periodic glitches you are observing (every 1300 samples) on the waveform is unexpected. I am unable to explain this. Do you have the EVM BCM connections connected to any external system?

Yes...EVM Board is connected with external Load Cell.

So, I disconnected external load cell and J52, J53, j54 settings changed previous default setting

for WS internal simulate.

1. As soon as start ADC Capture:

2. After tens of seconds, 

3 time glitches occur.

3. Capture stop and Start. 

After a while. No glitches.

if right, average vols of Test Result  is 705.78E-3=0.705 V

Is it correct? 

And external loadce and sw settings influenced to BCM test?

4. I test one more time . Just capture stop/start.

Another waveform displyed.

5. so, i power off and USB Cable disconnect.

I re-configure all.

Could you exaplain this?

Hello, I am also working on the similar Evaluation board. I see that the the User guide is an old one. The GUI Tabs and other options are more that shown in the guide. Kindly can you provide me the latest user guide and the full version data sheet of AFE4300.

Hello, I tried the same thing.

But i am getting different results.... also to more surprise, it is different everytime i reconnect the USB and reopen the GUI.

Kindly let me know the possible reason.

** laptop is not connected to any power supply.

Hi, i had connected a external 1K resistor, so i was able to get this.... 

and the output...

Can this be considered as Okey....

Yeah, i checked all the resistance corresponding to SW3 and i was able to check 1.5K, 1K and so on yesterday.... the culprit was the one and only jumper..... i always use to check the continuity of jumper wire before use, so yesterday as well i did and it was ok..... but when i was not able to get the required result. i checked everything. All the resistance, used separate channels for the current and voltage etc..... and after using external resistance, i rechecked with another jumpers. it worked....

My case....

After connection and run, I touched the USB Cable. Whenever cable touch, wave is changed.

So, I changed USB connection port(PC). Then cable touch is no changed. 

This is only my case.

Anyway do you  have expected result?

yeah, i got the expected results..... It was 664 mV ~ 669 mV.

Q1. ther register value is right?

Q2. In weight scale, i calculate offset and sesitivity.

      Does the BCM mode need offset, sesitivity?

       If so, pls let me know how to calculate.
