Hello team,

I received a question from the customer.

In section 6.5, there is a description of full-scale error. If the customer use an external reference, how should I calculate the full-scale error?

For example, if using REF5050 as an external reference, the initial accuracy(max) is 0.05%. Please let me know your opinion.

Hi Masa-san,

The full-scale error has to do with the DAC resistor ladder itself, so the full-scale error will be the same whether the internal or external reference is used.

The full-scale error would be ±0.5% of the REF5050 output. And the REF5050 output has the 0.05% initial accuracy on top of that.
