adc12dj5200rfevm: About Onboard Clocking Option

Part Number: ADC12DJ5200RFEVM
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: ADC12DJ5200RF

Hi Team

I am currently exploring the possibilities of utilizing the Onboard Clocking Option for the ADC12DJ5200RF EVM.

As I delve into the features of the ADC12DJ5200RF EVM, one particular aspect I would like to inquire about is the flexibility of adjusting the sampling rate while utilizing the Onboard Clocking Option. Could you kindly provide information on whether it is possible to freely modify the sampling rate when employing this clocking option?

Your guidance and insights into this matter would be greatly appreciated. Thank you for your time and assistance.

Best regards,

Ryota

  • Hi Ryota-San,

In theory yes the LMX device, which is used to generate the on board sampling clock, is able to switch between frequencies on the fly. However, you need to be careful when doing this as you will then have to re configure the JESD interface to account for the change in data rate. Does this help?
