DAC82001: DAC Selection

Part Number: DAC82001
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: DAC91001, DAC81402, DAC81401

Hi Dear,

The customer is designing a flow controller and would like to choose a DAC chip with parameters that require a resolution of 16 bits or more, a sampling rate of 1 MSPS, and can achieve positive or negative 10V output. May I know which cost-effective model we can recommend

  • Hi Anna,

The DAC82001 would be a great fit here.  It is an unbuffered device, so you will need to add a discrete output amplifier to achieve the ±10V. You could also consider the DAC91001 as well.

    Thanks,

    Paul

  • Hi Paul,

The customer does not want to use DAC and amplifier to achieve positive and negative 10V output, and would like to see if there are DAC chips that can directly output positive and negative 10V or larger

  • Hi Anna,

DAC81402 would be device you are looking for.

We are working on releasing a single channel device (DAC81401) which will be released to market in October. If this device is what you are looking for, the customer can start evaluation of dual channel and then switch to single channel once the device is out.

    Thank you,
