Hello guys,

One of my customers uses DAC8760 for 4mA-20mA interface of their current mass-productions.

At this moment, they have the following question.
Could you please give me your reply?

Q.
They are in trouble of heating issue of the device when IOUT is 20mA.
For countmeasure, they are considering to replace DAC8760 with other company IC which has a internal DC/DC converter to adjust the power supply voltage of IOUT constant current source to appropriate one for reducing power dissipation.

Does TI have such device? Or do you have any plan to release such device?

Kazuya,

TI has a similar device called the DAC8771 that has both current and voltage outputs, and integrates a buck-boost converter into the device. I think this is similar to what you are describing. You can find more information about the device here:
