TLA2024: Does this part support repeated start condition for I2C read?

Section 8.5.2.1 in the TLA2024 data sheet only shows I2C reads using stop followed by start (after the register pointer and before the read command).  However in the I2C timing requirements, section 7.6, there are values for repeated start conditions.  Is it legal to read a register in the TLA2024 using a repeated start instead of two separate commands?

    The TLA2024 does support repeated starts. The datasheet does not state this directly, but it does indicate that a START is a valid way to end a data transfer in Section 8.5.2.1:
