DDC11XEVM-PDK: The screws used to attach the board are detached and not tightened

Part Number: DDC11XEVM-PDK

Hello,

We purchased the part of DDC11XEVM-PDK from TI store, and the screws used to attach the board are detached and not tightened.

Could you help to quggest is that affects the usage and the whether or not we tighten the screws manually can be used normally?

Thanks,

Gloria

  • Hi Gloria,

Sorry for the lack of quality on that shipment! Yes, you can just tight manually the screws.

The function of the lead is to act as a shield when closed. As you know the DDC inputs can measure very small signals but for the same reason, one has to make sure that no noise couples to those inputs. So, I would close it and if possible check with a meter that there is continuity on that lead to ground. But anyhow, when you measure noise, if this doesn't come in line with the DS, then this would be a suspect.

Another option is to place the whole board in a shielded box. But anyhow, I don't anticipate all this will be needed with the lead closed...
