TLV2542: MUX is not reseting properly Need alternate part with channel selection option using SPI

Part Number: TLV2542
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: ADC122S021

We are using TLV2542 in our design, We tried giving MUX reset cycles 4 to 7 clocks with CS low.

We are repeating these 4 bit cycles for 5 time - so that at once the MUX will get RESET. Tried even with single cycle, but the result is same.

But unfortunately the reset is inconsistent, sometimes MUX reset to AI0 or some times AI1.

We are looking for other pin compatible part, where dual channel selection is possible using SPI firmware through some internal register.

Kindly suggest suitable part.

And help to resolve the issue.

Regards,

Amit

  • Hi Amit,

Unfortunately, it seems that there are no direct pin-to-pin replacements for this TLV2542. The ADC122S021 is similar in function, but different pinout. It does employ a more standard SPI convention however.

If you'd like some help in troubleshooting, could you please provide me with a scope capture of your CS pin, SCLK, and the provided SCLK frequency? It would also be useful if you could share with me how you are determining the current channel that the MUX is set to.

    Best,
    Joel
