ADS1298: ADS1298 Vref and Dynamic Range

Part Number: ADS1298

Hello Team,

Thanks for all your helpful answers on this forum. I ask you again the same question as I have still not understood the how 300 mV is arrived at or calculated. ADS1298 Data Sheet Chapter 9.3.1.5.2 Input Differential Dynamic Range states that "The 3-V supply, with a reference of 2.4 V and a gain of 6 for ECGs, is optimized for power with a differential input signal of approximately 300 mV". Is this value of 300 mV coming from test results? Or, otherwise how it is derived?

I have another related question. Assuming my configuration is as shown in Chapter 11.3 i.e. 3V analog supply i.e. +/- 1.5 V. So, in my case, the Vref = 2.4 V. Question is: What is the source of this Vref = 2.4 V? I am using ADS1298's internal reference which - according to Chapter 9.3.1.6 - "The reference voltage is generated with respect to AVSS". In other words: For a Vref = 2.4 V, should I be using +/- 3V or +/- 1.5V analog supply?
