DAC8742H: Digital Reset on Power Up

Part Number: DAC8742H

Tool/software:

I am currently using a DAC8742H as a HART modem and was wondering about the behavior of the digital reset input. I plan to use the DAC8742H in UART mode and never change the configuration inputs (XEN, CLK_CFG0, IF_SEL, etc.), these will be hardwired on the board.

In this situation, would it be acceptable to permanently add a pull up to RST? Or is it better practice to bring the RST line low briefly after power up to ensure a proper reset of the chip has been performed?
