Does TI have any recommended Touch Screen solution for Car Audio System?

    Hello Philip,

    Generally speaking, anyone of TI's TSC devices can be used for such a touch application. However, based on your function requirements (such as single touch or multi-touch), performance requirements (such as touch resolution), qualification requirements (such as needing "automotive" qualification or not),  touch panel's types (such as resistive or capacitive), and so on, you then make your selection.

    For a quick look of TI's current TSC devices, you may refer to TI website -- Current TI TSC Devices . Or specify your requirements and I can provide you more specific TSC devices for you to look into.

    a) Single touch or Multi-touch? single touch

    b) Performance requirements (such as touch resolution)?No need

    c) Do you need automotive qualification requirements? After market, -40-85'C.

    d) Touch panel's types --> capacitive

    Targeted less than 20-pinnings, I2C interface.

    Hi Phillip,

    Please provide detailed specifications for the touch controller requirement. - screen size, accuracy, linearity, report rate, any special features etc. This will help us in identifying the correct device for the application.
