Hi,

I was using ADS 7042 to do "Continuity test" to check whether any electrostatic diodes are missing. But While I was doing I found that the SCLK and CS0b pins are not connected (internally ) to AVDD through electrostatic diodes. But I would like to confirm whether electrostatic diodes are present for every pin or not. In the datasheet, they haven't specified anything regarding the ESD diodes.

I am especially worried about SCLK and CSob pins. because when I conducted continuity test those two pins failed (which means they are not connected to AVDD). Can you confirm this.

Chaitanya,

We checked with the designer of this device. It has ESD diodes to GND but does not have ESD diodes to the positive supply. Nevertheless, this device was tested per JEDEC standards (HBM ±2000V, and CDM ±1000V).

Hi Art Kay,

Is there any reason why they haven't provided ESD diodes between the CSob and power supply, SCLK and power supply.
