AMC1305L25: Digital Filter on FPGA

My customer is interested in the AMC1305 for the current sensing of the AC drive motor appication. However, there is a FPGA for the logic control function. They are wondering to know if FPGA can be a digital filter instead of the AMC1210...etc. Is there any experence you can sharing? or Is there any digital filter circuitry able to share with AMC1305xx? thanks.

Hi Brian,

Absolutely the AMC1305L25 can be used with an FPGA acting as the digital filter. There is some VHDL associated with the ADS1202REF that you can use as a starting point, you can find that here: www.ti.com/.../slac055
