Hi,
Today I want to buy ADS1281 on TI store.
But I saw this message in my cart.....
So what is the TI's recommendation to replace my datalogger on seismology? ADS1263?
(3 channels simultaneous sampling)
YHH
Hi YHH,
I may not be the best person to support TI Store issues, but I can certainly forward this to someone who can if needed...
I did a quick check of the store today and it looks like the ADS1281IPW is in stock in every region:
If you were trying to request samples, then the TI Store might not have allowed you to sample this device. I would try removing the device from your cart and adding again. If you run into any additional issues please let me know I'll make sure to notify someone who directly supports the TI Store.
Best regards,
Chris
Hi YHH,
I'm sorry, I misunderstood your question...
I don't know of any plans to discontinue the ADS1281 anytime soon; however, if you check out the "Parametrics" table on the ADS1281 product page, you'll see all of the other seismic ADCs that are similar to the ADS1281:
Some of the main differences to know about the other ADS128x devices is that they add a integrated PGA front-end and all of them are controlled through register configurations (pin mode is no longer support). For best SNR at the lowest power consumption, I would recommend the ADS1283. For even lower power consumption, there are the ADS1287 (single ADC) and ADS1287D (dual ADCs).
I hope that helps,
Chris
