ADS7229: OK to have /CONVST idle low and pulse high?

Part Number: ADS7229

On a ADS7229, I'd like to have \CONVST idle low and do nothing, occasionally, a pulse high for 50us to sample, and start the conversion on the negative edge.  /CONVST would remain low for a long time before being pulsed again.  Any reason why the part may not like that?  Datasheet specs a min time, not a max time.  Circuit boards are already done, not built yet, otherwise I'd consider changing the logic.  Thanks in advance.

  • Alan,

I'm not aware of any issues with holding /CONVST indefinitely. It looks like that in the ADS7229, actions are triggered only on the falling edge of /CONVST. However, I've never at that behavior specifically.
