ADS7253: P2P recommendation

Hi team,

My customer want to find the alternative GPN which can P2P replace the ADS7253IRTER as their second choice.

  1. The Resolution should be 12 bits or better and sampling rate should be 1000 ksps or better.

  2. The interface should be SPI.

  3. The input type should be Pseudo-Differential or Differential

Could you please recommend some GPN ?

  • By the way, they don’t accept the ADS7254 as their second choice although the ADS7254 meet the requirement I have mentioned. In their system they have configured the CFR.B7 of ADS7253 to 1, and the CFR.B7 of ADS7254 has to be configured as 0 to set the input mode as Differential. For the consideration of Compatibility in the system, so the ADS7254 is not their good choice

    Thanks for your post. Please find the parametric search results here.

    Based on your comment in the last bullet, it sounds like the customer is also expecting to use the exact same register settings. Is that correct? I don't believe this will be feasible for any other replacement device. The ADS7254 is the closest one with the same registers.

    Is the ADS7251 a suitable option? This device does not have user programmable registers, but it does support dual-, simultaneous-sampling inputs, and it is also a 12-bit SAR device.
