ADS8860: Can the ADS8860 input voltage exceed the absolute maximum of VREF +0.3V if VREF is 2.5V and AVDD = DVDD = 3.3V?

I used the ADS8860 in a circuit that's actually working very well except that it was noticed that the input voltage to the ADS8860 ADC can possibly exceed VREF + 0.3V.

There is a 1K resistor between the output of an opamp and Vin input of the ADS8860. VREF is 2.5V and AVDD = DVDD = 3.3V.

The output of the opamp could possibly go to 3.3V. 

Is there any chance that the ADS8860 can be damaged if the output of the driving opamp goes to 3.3V since 3.3V is greater than VREF+0.3V (2.8V)?

    Welcome to the TI E2E Community.

    1kOHM will limit the current to less than 1mA.  (3.3V-2.8V)/1k=500uA.  Although there is not a specification for this, the device will not be damaged with this amount of current.
