DLPC3478: personally manage the DLP Firmware version

hello. I am using DLPC3478+DLPA2005+DLP3010.

Based on the current EVM firmware version 8.0.1, we use a custom firmware that changes the starting current adjustment and pattern data file (bin).

I want to personally manage the version other than the default firmware version 8.0.1. Is this possible? (This does not mean changing the default firmware version.)

For example, I want to save the firmware version to another address.

If possible, is there any way?

Hello User,

You are able to use Light Control GUI -> Edit Firmware tool to modify settings in the flash image. This tool allows users to customize the default flash image and you can select the name and location of the custom image file to be saved.

Please refer to the DLP Display and Light Control EVM GUI Tool User Guide.

Also, please update the firmware to latest version 9.0.1 and use latest Light Control GUI version 3.2.0.6 to create custom image file.

hello.

The method you mentioned simply means editing the firmware.
Of course I know how to use the function below.
It seems you misunderstood my question.
I want to store custom firmware version information in a specific memory area.
However, it seems that there is no such function in Edit Firmware Tool.

Hello Yongjin,

The GUI does not have the functionality to store a firmware image in a different memory location.

In addition, where did you get your custom firmware from?
