DLPC3479: Internal Pattern Streaming mode stops displaying patterns
Hi TI's Friends
I'm Jia, a DLP engineer from Wintech Inc.
We encounter the conpletely same problem as the friend Junfa.
Please watch the below short video
test report:
test 1: after 11 hours, one of four devices did not work, then restart all the devices
test 2: after 2 hours,one of four devices did not work, then restart all the devices
test 3: after 22 hours, one of four devices does not project patterns. with doing nothing,
test 4: after another 20 hours, the other three devices are working well now (in the video)
Hardware:
1. our custom double DLPC3749s + DLPA3005 + DLPC4710LC, the same as TI'EVM all most
2. We have produced 30 devices
3. It's a entirely random issure in different devices
Software:
1. using the V8.1 DLPC3479 firmware. TIRef-DLPC3479-DLPA3005-AC_Only-CurrentLimitsRemoved-BlueOnly-v8p1p001, shared from TI in the 2021
Trigger the patterns
1. Test 1 : as the same as the Junfa, I used IIC command to send constantly the "Run Once" command to DLPC3479 to display two pattern sets. There are random issues
2. Test 2 : I changed to send "Trigger In" signals, instead of the IIC command, from an external MSP430 MCU board. There are random issues too
3. Test 3 : I changed the pattern set pre/exposure/post time\ the number of pattern in the sets\reprogram the fireware\, but there are random issues too
4. I'm sure all the configurations to pattern set are correct
Advanced Tests:
1. when the device stoped projecting patterns. I did nothing and I did not restart
2. I connected the usb to the device
3. I sent sorts of commands to device through the TI'GUI and all returned OK, but DMD did not display any patterns/images all the time. except DLPC3479 sent trigger outs correctly
4. and I found illuminator LED working OK some times but DMD did not work
We all know DLP4710\3010\2010 have the same issues
But Fortunately, the latest fireware V9.0 to 3010/2010 has fixed the known issues
