DLP3010EVM-LC: Internal Mode 1bit beam Pattern sequence, internal Mode, Pattern Sequence

Part Number: DLP3010EVM-LC

Dear TI Memembers

I am checking the beam pattern sequence for internal mode and will captue pattern image under camera 30fps.

[Remark]

  1. Test Pattern set was used only for simple testing.

It was happen to silmilar issue when I used difference patttern configuration.

  1. The same conditiond excpet of pattern configuration,
  2. TI_Feedback_exposure time form TI DLP3010EVM-LC: Internal Mode, Exposure time Range - DLP products forum - DLP®︎ products - TI E2E support forums

Case 1)  1 Pattern Set x 4 Images

Case 2) 1 Pattern Set x 1image , 4 Patterns

Q1) It was displayed the incorrect beam pattern sequence under case1 conditions and saw the same issue under TI recommended Exposure time of the attached exposure table.

It was displayed the correct beam pattern sequence using API sample code with the same conditions.

I think that it have nothing to do with it because it isn't happen to issue under API sample code and case 2 conditions.

Q2) Becasue I will capture  under camera 30fps, Can I use  the exceed 1 bit internal mode exposure time over 127598[us] ?

If I can use the exceed exposure itme , I will modify pre/post exposure dark time with TI recomended exposure time range.

  • Hi Kim,

I believe your first question is about the patterns being displayed out of order, please correct me if I am wrong. If this is the case please set your "pattern set entry index" = 0. We have seen this issue and are actively working on an update to resolve it.

Question 2: you may exceed 127598 us however we do not guarantee the systems behavior. We have validated the timings shown in the table.

    Best,

    Maximus

  • Dear Maximus

    Thank you for youre answers.

If this is the case please set your "pattern set entry index" = 0. We have seen this issue and are actively working on an update to resolve it.

[Q1] I checked "pattern set entry index"=1 Insted of 0 to use interim measures. It happen to same issue when it used index=1.
Is there interim measures for single pattern set and multiple pattern images such as case 1?
[Q2] When will the update be offered?

    Thanks

  • Hi Kim,

I meant to say you should make the pattern index = 1.* It seems like you already tried this, did you still see the issue? If so I would recommend, at least for now, re ordering your patterns to get the desired output. I do not have a precise date when this update will be released as we are trying to add a few other fixes to it.

    Best,

    Maximus
