DLPC7540EVM: DLPC7540 linux sdk for usb/I2C control/communication

Part Number: DLPC7540EVM
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: DLPC-API, DLPC7540

Tool/software:

I have found the windows sdk for 35xx and 65xx controllers at : https://www.ti.com/tool/DLPC-API and it does have a portion that is portable to linux. However I was wondering is there an equivalent version for the 7540 since some of the functions might be different. Either a windows sdk to port from or linux sdk would be ideal.

  • Hello Warika,

Welcome to the E2E forum and thank you for your interest in DLP® technology.

We have a DLPDLC-GUI supports DLPC7540EVM with Windows, but not Linux. The cypress (the EVM uses Cypress USB)  provides a Linux SDK that may help you, please refer to the other E2E post here. You may also be able to use DLPC-API as an example and development your own code to apply to DLPC7540.

    I hope this helps.

    Regards,

    Lori

  • Hello Lori.

Thanks a lot for your response. I was wondering if it was possible to access the windows api for the DLPC7540, rather then the GUI, it would be ideal to port that to linux using the cypress sdk if all the 7540 specific functions are already implemented.

    Thanks  alot.

  • Hi Warika,

Unfortunately, we don't have existing API for DLPC7540.
