Lightcrafter unable to "Play Once" again

Hi,

(following was carried out completely in 'pattern sequence' mode with 8-bit patterns, color as 'white', frame time 15000us, exposure time 10000us)

I am using firmware v3.0 with Lightcrafter v3.0. When I select 'PLAY ONCE' radio button, 'SEND' and 'VALIDATE' a pattern and press 'PLAY', the pattern plays once and stops. When I press 'PLAY' again, nothing shows on the projector.

But this works fine in 'REPEAT' mode: I select, 'REPEAT' mode, 'SEND' and 'VALIDATE' a pattern and press 'PLAY', the pattern sequence plays out repetitively until I press 'STOP' and I am able to play again without a problem.

Due to this problem, I had to opt out to use firmware 2.0 with Lightcrafter v2.0 which solves the problem with 'PLAY ONCE' but it does not allow me to use Variable Exposure control. (I tried using Lightcrafter 3.0 on firmware 2.0, but variable exposure control has some issues...).

May I know whether this is a common problem to all? Or am I doing something wrong and if so, how to correct it...?

Thank you for your reply.

But in the meantime is there a way I could "PLAY ONCE" at every press of "START" for twelve 8-bit frames? (frames from 4 different image indexes)

Has this problem been resolved in the LightCrafter 4500 Control Software?

I am having a related problem. I am using LightCrafter 4500 control software 3.01 with firmware version 3.0.0. I have set up a pattern sequence with a single 8-bit pattern, frame time 15000us and exposure time 10000us, white color, Internal Trigger. I configured "Play Once". After validation if I click on "Play" the pattern flashes 8 times before stopping. The pattern should be displaying only once every time I click on Play. What could be causing it to display 8 times?

Hi Michel,

There is an error in the GUI code. Can you see if you can compile the GUI source code and make a small modification? If you read this thread, you'll find the details: e2e.ti.com/.../1840506

This will be fixed in the next release of the GUI.
