DLP2000: LightCrafter will not display Splash Screen.

Hello,

I recently obtained the DLP lightcrafter 2000 EVM but when I provide power with an appropriate power supply, there is no evidence of it powering on to display the splash screen. When I supply power, the green LED D2 will light up randomly if I touch the device in a way, but that's all that is happening. I'm worried that it may be defective and that the optical engine is not powering up correctly to provide display. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Hello Landon,

Sorry for the troubles. Has this device ever booted up for you? Could you confirm the voltage and current of your power supply? Also before powering it on confirm the flex cable connecting the board and DMD is secure and that nothing is attached to the EVM.

I appreciate the help! It has never booted up for me. The power supply I am using has an input of 100-240V AC, 50-60Hz and an output of 5V 3A. Nothing is attached to the EVM and I checked the flex cables and disconnected them and reconnected then to make sure they were indeed secure and in the correct orientation as per the user manual.

Does D3 light up for you? Also how long ago did you purchase it? It may be under warranty.

Kyle,

No, all lights other than D2 remain off when plugged in. I got it several months ago, if I had to guess sometime in February. I dont know how long the warranty is on the item.

I am seeking approval from one of the E2E engineers that the device is defective. What is needed from me to gain this initial approval. This device has never booted up for me since I had it and I would like to have it replaced via the warranty. Any help is greatly appreciated.
