If you are interested in the next generation Tiva C Series LaunchPad or taking your embedded design into the cloud, take a moment to review this information.

  • Hi Sue,

I guess the "drawing for one of 25 FREE Tiva C Series Connected LaunchPads", are for those who reside in US. I am based in the Philippines. However, I have friends and family in the US. Can I put  at State and Country fields as California and United States?

  • Hi kel,

Unfortunately, the person who wins must reside in the US.

    Regards,

    Sue

  • Sue,

Is it based on the TM4C129?

    Ari

  • Looking beyond the fuzz on the video, here's what I see:

    1) Board size is 2" x 4.5" (50.8 x 114.3 mm), versus TM4C123 Launchpad size of 2" x 2.5"

    2) Has Ethernet (connector at top left corner and Cloud references)

    3) Has 2 BoosterPack connections?

    4) Has 98 pins along the bottom, so allowing for +5V, +3.3V and GND, something like 90 GPIO/functions

    5) RTC clock

    6) 3 user buttons (and a reset button)

    7) ICDI (Virtual Com Port USB) plus OTG USB

    8) Can be powered from ICDI, OTG or BoosterPack

    9) Uses 64 pin device for ICDI implementation (presumably the same device as the Tiva TM4C123 LaunchPad)

    10) Microcontroller labelling is TM4C1294X...... (8 seconds into video, where ..... is fuzz)

Can anyone see other interesting bits?

    Regards, Vito

So why allow Australia as a country option?

  • It looks like it's based on the TM4C129

As the query string in the link announces this for all to see....mcu-tivc-ek-tm4c129xl-em-lp-en

    http://www.ti.com/ww/en/mcu/Tiva_Connected_Launchpad/?DCMP=tivac-launchpad&HQS=mcu-tivc-ek-tm4c129xl-em-lp-en%20&sp_rid_pod4=ODE4MTg4NDIxMzkS1&sp_mid_pod4=45010478&spMailingID=45010478&spUserID=ODE4MTg4NDIxMzkS1&spJobID=380439534&spReportId=MzgwNDM5NTM0S0

Now for my second wish....an upgrade to the CC3000 booster pack, perhaps the CC3100 that has been mentioned, and then TI will really have a very nice development environment for the Cloud and Internet of Things.

    Glenn.

  • This looks indeed great! :-)

  • Hi Vito,

We allowed all countries to be part of the early registration and notification process when the product is available.  Unfortunately, U.S. legal guidelines do not permit us to award contest prizes outside the U.S.

    Regards,

    Sue

  • We can now confirm that it is a TM4C1294XL LaunchPad, selling at $20

All the details can be found here - http://www.ti.com/ww/en/launchpad/launchpads-tivac-ek-tm4c1294xl.html#tabs

    Glenn.

  • I've just ordered 2. At $20 for a powerful microcontroller with Ethernet ... WOW!

TWO!   Be still my heart....  (luxury car makers, glossy blondes, net-jet/similar - sure to flock now, your doorstep, Vito...)

Impact of such purchase largesse seems to have "dissolved" Sue's "sticky" - post now floats!  (i.e. "mingles w/we "riff-raff...")

Note only "char" as data type for our ever so serious group...  (although you - mon ami - escape that sad state...)

  • We’re extremely anxious to release the new Connected LaunchPad, but we weren’t quite ready. The link Glenn posted won’t work for a few weeks but sit tight and enjoy our teaser video, enter for your chance to win a free board and register to receive an email once we are ready for your order. www.ti.com/tiva-c-launchpad
