Sorry, I don't give enough precision, and my shematic isn't finished yet...

My aim is to design a RJ45 to fiber board at 1Gbps, like this : 
RJ45 to DP83869HM, to ONET4201LD and ONET4201PA (SGMII), ONET4201LD to a diode, and the ONET4201PA to MAX3267(and a photodiode). (see attachment)

For the SGMII, I just use two cap of 0.1µF in 0402, and no termination resistor.

Hi Jean-Alexandre,

Thank you for all of the information you provided. Since you want RJ45 copper to fiber connection, this is the mode you want: copper to fiber or 1000BASE-T to 1000BASE-X.

You will have to configure the OP_MODE_DECODE register accordingly.

Termination resistor selection will depend on the signaling use by the connected fiber device. For example, converting LVDS to LVPECL.
