DS90UB964-Q1EVM: TDA3-EVM

Hi..

I want to integrate DS90UB964-Q1 with TDA3 EVM for Emirror application i.e. merge two camera images on single display. I have followed the user guide and configured the SERDES Board DS90UB964-Q1

as mentioned but when i connected it with TDA3 EVM board it device address , input mode automatically got changes and also when I select the Multi camera LVDS then it shown the error SERDES board not connected. Here are the image of all the steps performed.

Hardware connected successfully as shown below:-

 

Registers are also available for read and write:-

 

 

Run the script to enable CSI port given in user guide:-

 

 

But when the SERDES board is connected to TDA3-EVM board the information is change as per below image:-

 

 

Device address has also changed to 0x58 .I have tried to configure the input mode again and again but it changed back to default. I don’t know what’s the reason of this.

 

Also Please let us know how to integrate that board with TDA3EVM and run the demo code available for multiple camera ASAP. Because by default when I connected SERDES board to TDA3 board and set it to capture CSI input then its failed also when I select Multi-Camera LVDS use case then also it gives the error SERDES board is not connected.

 

Please look into that ASAP.

    I have already followed all the instructions mentioned in the user guide and set the DIP switch according to CSI output but then also it not works .

    I expect following steps are performed

    1. setup UB960 EVM - Dip switch and connect camera modules

    2. Install VisionSDK latest and build for tda3x ISP usecase

    3. Connect UB964 EVM and TDA3x EVM as show in user guide, ensure to connect HDMI out to a display

    4. Power up UB960 EVM and TDA3x EVM

    5. Boot via SD card/CCS

    6. Check uart console for usecase menu

    7. Select IMI camera as source and start any ISS usecase

    when I build VisionSDK for tda3x ISP  usecase then vision_sdk_ipu1_0_release.xem4 only and load the program using CCS . Do I need to configure to generate binary for other code too in config.mk?

    how to create TDA3x folder in mmc/SD? As of now I create TDA3x folder in ti_components/drivers/pdk_01_10_04_15/packages/ti/csl/src/ip/mmc and copied LUT present in vision_sdk\apps\tools\surround_vision_tools\Srv_LUTs\TDA3x..

    but when I run the program I can see only 1 option under menu 5(ISS UseCase).Following is the result:-

    Also Please let me know the Camera voltage we need to configure is 9V or 5V?

    Please ensure that you have configured to source 5V to the camera module.

    Also, select "9: OV10640 Sensor for SV - IMI (TDA3x ONLY)" as capture source. Also prepare an SD card and create a folder named "TDA3X" and copy all the LUTs in '/vision_sdk/tools/surround_vision_tools/Srv_LUTs into that folder and insert the card into EVM

    After which, one could run any 4 channel usecases

    I have tried to flash it through CCS . IPU1_C0 and IPU1_C1 is properly connected but DSP cores are not connected. Here are the error messages:-

    It seems like you have configured the EVM/board for QSPI boot mode. Can you please refer the user guide and configure it for SD boot mode?

    which option I need to select to boot from SD card?

    Do I need to generate the qspi writer tools and and follows the the instruction mentioned in user guide 3.6 section Load using QSPI and SD boot?

    QSPI-SD boot mode, in this case the SBL would be in QSPI and application image can reside in MMC/SD card. Please check section "Load using QSPI"

    Also, did the camera / default usecase work?

    Day before yesterday board successfully boots and all the use cases are appear on terminal and default use case runs well but from yesterday the board is not booted successfully same posted on last thread with Errors in which you have suggested to select the boot from SD card.

    It seems like OSPI Data might have been corrupted or CCS/no Boot mode can be used load and run the usecases.

    Can you confirm if you were able run the default iss multi camera usecase?

  • No, There are no option available to select usecase. I would try to load again with CCS tomorrow using app image generated for QSPI and SD.

    I suspect 1 or more camera might not be working, can you please start SRV usecase and ensure that there no error reported. Once the usecase is running, please press "p" to prints stats. Please press "p" twice, with about 30 sec between them

    Using stats, we can figure out if any of the camera is working or not.
