Hi team,
My customers are using DS110DF410 ethernet mode. The 10G and 1G data rates are switching automatically.
My customers wonder the device actual data rate, 10G or 1G? So which register can tell the info?

Hello Miranda,
By setting register 0x2f, bits 7:4, to 4'b0000, the DS110DF410 will automatically set its divider ratio and its coarse VCO tuning setting to lock to either a 10 GbE signal (at 10.3125 Gb/s) or a 1 GbE signal (at 1.25 Gb/s) at its input.
To run the device at 10GbE, your input rate should be 10.3125 Gbps. To run the device at 1Gbe, the input signal should be 1.25 Gbps.

Hi Kia,
My customers found CDR unlocked issue when data rate switched from 10GbE to 1GbE. They didn't change the register setting, only change the input signal frequency. The register dump is attached. Could you please take a look? What cause it?
Add one more info: when the issue occurred, if they reset CDR, the CDR became locked.
Hello Miranda,
The register settings are correct.
The CDR remains unlocked when you switch data rates until you reset the CDR. If you don't reset the CDR, it will continue to attempt locking to the previous data rate.
Therefore, every time you switch the input data rate from 10GbE to 1GbE, you should reset the CDR.
