DS110DF410: automatic switch between 1.25G 2.5G and 10.3125G

Hi, team

my customer use DS110DF410 for ethernet data rate, and want to switch between 1.25G 2.5G and 10.3125G automatically

according to table 2, if we write 0x2f to 0x06, it could get 1.25 and 10.3125Gbps.

according to table 3, if we change 0x2f to 0x56, divider will be 1,2,4,8, could we get 1.25G 2.5G and 10.3125G?

    Hi Chi,

    You are on the right track with this.  Setting the divider ratio to be 1,2,4,8 would allow you to lock to 1.25G, 2.5G, and 10.3125G with one VCO group set to 10G and another set to 10.3125G.  In order to set the appropriate divider ratio, set register 0x2F[7:4] = 0x6.

    You will also want to set PPM count for group 0 in registers 0x60, 0x61 and the PPM count for group 1 in registers 0x62, 0x63.  I would recommend setting group 0 to 10G and group 1 to 10.3125G.  The calculations to do this are detailed below Table 2 in the datasheet.
