Team,
Is there anything to do in terms of register setting for the 949 to load in RAM the EDID hanging on the I2C on the deserializer board , and use this EDID for HDMI negotiation ?
thanks
Hello Olivier,
Flashing the EDID into an external EEPROM is totally separate from 94x. The customer can use any off the shelf method to flash their EEPROM. Then all that needs to be done is to place that EEPROM on the DDC bus on the 949 HW and strap the 949 to external EEPROM mode with MODE_SEL

Casey
thanks Casey,
my question was more about retreiveing the information of an eeprom present on the display side. (so i guess the I2c of the Deserializer) : anything to do to configure the 949 to get that EDID and load it in its RAM?
Hello Olivier,
If the EDID is in an EEPROM on the display side, it just needs to be connected to the I2C bus of the deserializer and the 949 needs to be strapped to remote EDID mode with MODE_SEL. That is all that is needed

Casey
