DS90LV031A: Combination of protection diode TPD1E1B04 for DS90LV031A/DS90LV032A

TPD1E1B04 and DS90LV031A/DS90LV032A are placed same circuit board.
(Connector and cable are not use for connection of TPD1E1B04 and DS90LV031A/DS90LV032A.)

Distance of TPD1E1B04 to DS90LV031A/DS90LV032A will be within 1 inch.

Understood, do you have a block diagram here? If possible I would like to understand why the ESD is necessary if no connector /cable is used  and the LVDS link transverses only the PCB.

I seem to have misunderstood the content of your inquiry.

The circuit board has external interface connector outside of TPD1B1E04.

External equipment is connected to external interface connector on this circuit board using cable of 2m to 3m.

External equipment may be replaced from time to time, and the cables should be reconnected each time.

I'm sorry I'm not ready for the block diagram.

No worries, you have clarified some the situation here about where the ESD device is placed. One more question, are the single-ended signals traversing  the external connector or the differential signals.

4 LVDS driver lines (+/-), 4 LVDS receiver lines(+/-) and signal ground line are included in the lines of external interface connector.
