PCF8575: PCF8575 Markings Decoding

Part Number: PCF8575

I am trying to determine the markings on a pair of PCF8575 IC's to confirm if they are functionally equivalent.  Both are TSSOP-24 packages.

One IC is marked

PF575

13G4

A8GH

The other is marked

PF575

OBG4

A3KQ

I understand the PF575 is the part identifier,  and the G4 indicates RoHS compliance.

I've been unable to find any date code decoder documentation to determine the remainder of the content.

I assume it's likely Lot/Date difference and manufacturing facility differences but I'd like to verify.

  • Hans,

You are correct, both devices are equivalent. The markings are indicative of the year, month, assembly site code, then the 4-digit code below is the lot trace code. Decoding this information is not readily available to customers, so if they want more details it will need to be looked up on a TI internal repository.

Please let me know if you have any other questions.

    Regards,

    Eric Hackett
